"Kids" from Kids!

Chalice Christian Church has a tradition of working with Heifer International to provide animals that can really make a difference to families who are barely surviving.  In the last several years we have provided five heifers and ten goats.  Those animals have since produced many offspring.  So our gifts have made life better for 30 or 40 families!

Founded in 1944, Heifer International is a humanitarian assistance organization that works to end world hunger and protect the earth. Through livestock, training and "passing on the gift," Heifer helps build strong communities because each project participant agrees to pass on the gift of animal offspring, training, or skills to another family in need.

This time we are going to focus on baby goats (" kids").  During the month of April, we will be having a contest to see if everyone at Chalice can participate, from our our kids on up.  By April 27th, the last Sunday in April, we will see how many "kids" we will be sending out.  This is a great way for us to demonstrate to the children in our Chalice family that Christ calls us to outreach
